Hi,

Hoping someone could point me in the right direction as I cannot work out how you are supposed to connect the hose (346999A) that supplies the heater with fresh air to the air distribution box.

The distribution box does not have a flange large enough to clamp a hose to and there is no flange on the inner wing, Is there an additional part to go with the distribution box that isn't shown in the Minispares parts manual?

There looks to be be 2 types of distribution boxes, one with a flange and one without so I assume there must be another part not shown, unless its part of the inner wing?

For reference its an 89 mini and I have replaced the inner wing with ABD36006 (Inner wing R/H 1970-2000 Internal Hinge)

The flange should be welded to the inside of the inner wing.  Presumably the original wing had a flange fitted?

Not a 100% sure but I think the earlier models did have a flange welded to the inner wing.

Looks like the air box you have if for that type.

On my 94 there is just a hole and this is the type of airbox I have:

Thanks for the responses, I replaced the inner wing 3 or so years ago and can't remember if there was a flange or not. There must have been one so it seems the new heritage inner wings don't come with the flange.

I could either make one out of some sheet steel using the 4 bolts to mount it (don't want to weld as it's just been painted) or buy the other type with a built in flange. Thanks for the link, they seem fairly cheap on ebay so will probably go down that route.

Looks like the changeover point was 1992.
