Hi in the middle of a rebuild.
Getting ready for the machine shop.
My question is what's the right orientation of the Conrad bearings.
I made sure to mark each Conrad after removal so not to mix up.
Should the notches on each bearing line up or should they be opposite each other.
I will be putting new pistons in .
I think the notches should be opposite each other .is it correct in the photo?
Can anyone conferm?
Thanks

It's a 998cc a +
They don't seem to match up.
Whichever way I try.
I didn't mix them up when I removed them from the crank.
I punched marked each one .
Unless I'm going mad?
I remember correctly numbering each conrods etc

I thought The rods and caps have notches for the shells to fit in.A long time since I saw mine but it "should" be obvious.Steve..

Notches go together

Did you actually mean notches on same side? They don't go together or line-up ... the images in the manuals ARE CORRECT!

Your photo is correct.

The edges of the bearings with the notches go together.

Yea that's what I thought that the notches have to line up together.
Now I know they don't ☺
I thought I'd messed up the caps
But I didn't
Thank god
