Hi folks

1990, 1275 cooper

Attached is a pic of my oil pressure switch. I’ve only just realised that the indicator light on my dash is not working (after driving the car all summer!). I guess there should be a low pressure light which comes on, next to the ignition light on the dash?

To test if it’s the sensor or the bulb in the dash, if I unplug the sensor, the light still doesn’t come on. Should I try shorting the wire to an Earth point on the car?

If I need a new switch, will I just buy a standard one from minispares? I can’t seem to find one that looks like my current one.

Thanks for the help.

Alasdair

thanks. Earthing the sensor did indeed turn the light on- so I've ordered a new switch.
