Hello all, this is my first post on the forum so apologies if I get anything wrong
I've got a 1990 Mini Mayfair with a 1330cc engine.
When I got the car it had a single HIF 6 carb on it, however it now runs a Twin HS4 setup. The cars running and driving fine, perfectly usable, It doesn't overheat and the car only ever runs Shell V Power. I'm just curious as to what you would recommend. The car currently runs with AAC (0.090in) needles which is what came with the carbs when I bought them. I have no idea what engine the setup came from.
I have checked the following -
No air leaks from the manifold to the head
No air leaks between the carbs and the manifold
Carbs were checked over prior to putting them on the car by a friend who deals with carbs.
Here's the engine spec -
1330cc Engine
1.5 high lift roller rockers
Swiftune SW5-07 cam (been told its basically a 276)
Ported and polished head
Twin HS4's with AAC Needles
If anyone runs a similar setup it would be much appreciated if you know what needles you've got. As stated above, the car runs and drives fine it doesn't seem as pokey as my buddies 1275 Cooper, or my mates 1310. I understand that many factors affect what needles are to be used, but if anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be ideal
Cheers, Jake
