Strictly speaking our 1999 Mini LE40 is my wife's pride and joy. After owning various minis during our married life she bought this new in 99 and shortly after we received a parcel from Rover containing an aluminium briefcase with a mini model inside (not an LE40!), an old fashioned 'concertina' logbook and a letter telling her she was the owner of Number ONE of the limited edition run!! She's only driven around 35,000 miles and a couple of years ago it had a substantial restoration.

It's insured for £12k but I'd be interested to know if that valuation is accurate.

Valuations on til great are always difficult without seeing and being knowledgeable about the subject..

Generally they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay...

Things to consider more would be:

What is it worth to you...
What would the repair price be..
What are the chances of it being stolen/damaged?

As I say always difficult to value..

Have seen some later mini models being scrapped due to the thinner metal used..
