I folded a piece of sheet aluminium to protect the top panel against the bonnet hook, Rivited it on does the job.

Stick-on felt furniture foot pads under the bonnet edge each side. And aluminum landing pad like Mini Mad says for the skull dagger.

I bought those and they don’t fit to anything. Did you have to drill anything for those?

The first option on that page would need a hole, the second one is stick-on for later cars. You can pick up the same thing at any home supply store for a few pennies. I like the thick felt ones rather than the rubber ones. They give a nice solid feel and don't rattle.

there should be holes in the slam panel for them - in the RedRiley's post above you can see one of them just to the left of the ally plate he's circled. there should be an equivalent one on the other side too

The skull dagger - love it!
I've heard of skulduggery but when the bonnet catch brains you is it "skull-dagger-y" - Also how many expletives do you manage when it happens - my record is 11.

That's just what it's called.
