Hello!  I'm Dave Baker and I've finally admitted I'm a mini fanatic and taken the dive!

Well... took the dive last summer with this

which over the course of a year I turned into this... all work done by myself in my basic home garage.

She's a 1989 Mini 1000 from Japan called Minnie Driver :)

Then she was turning out so well I had to buy something else to beat on... enter Spicy!

She's a 1980 1275 GT with a 1380 (currently suffering a spun bearing)  big brakes, coil spring conversion and a bunch of other stuff.  I'll be cleaning her up this winter and taking her to track days and such next year.

Nice duo sir.

Running a mini in the U.K. around modern machines makes it feel even smaller, must feel like driving a cosy coupe around US autos.

That's opulence, having one LHD & one RHD so you can rest one arm at a time.
