Hub Identification.

Best Answer nicklouse , 30 October 2020 - 06:20 PM

Drum and  7” are totally different.

the disc hub should fit all disc set ups as the bearings are all the same sizes and interchangeable.

as to is the disc will fit all disc hubs I am not sure.

I will leave that to others.

I’m looking at putting together a pair of 7” Cooper discs (not 7.5” S) for my mk1.

The hub on the left is a drum hub and the hub on the right is what I got with the 7” discs.

Is the right one a disc hub for 7.5” and 8.4” discs?

If so I assume it’s not suitable for drum/cooper set up?

I know the 7” and drum flanges are the same outer diameter. I always thought the hubs were the same. Looks like I need to use the disc type even for the 7” ones. Got my knickers in a twist on that one. Thanks Nick.
