first off i was driving my car back from the welders last night when all of a sudden the clutch stiffened, then it seemed to go, when i say go i mean it wasnt engaging any gears. (any ideas on what this could be)

second my wiper motor doesnt seem to work, when i turn the wipers on they never seem to do anything, very occationly they move a little bit then stop again. (is this likely to be a fault with the motor or the wiring to the motor)

any help is appreciated

Thanks

Could possibly be a bad earth on the wiper motor

I have no idea about the clutch

do the wipers work when the screen is wet? it might be that the motor is tired

Is the clutch cable driven on a mini? maybe cable has snapped? Did the pedal fly to the floor?

My wipers are similar. I can get setting one but when i flick to setting 2 they dont wana know :P

i've had this where the clutch pipe actually broke down internally!! then popped!! nice when you're 45 mins drive from home!! i learned clutchless gearchanges that day.

get sum1 to press the clutch pedal then make sure the mechanism is actually working in the engine bay!! its on the drivers side, will probably be a long arm that goes from the centre to the top of the round bit on that end of the engine!!

if theres no movement check the hose to it and the fluid in the reservoire!!
