I'm about to try installing new headlining material on our 1960 Mini. The part worrying me most is the stapling. To get the material tight I imagine a pliers style stapler is necessary but all that I've seen have a slight lower lip which I think will impact the ability to get close enough to the bows.

Any tips or solutions are appreciated.

I would be tempted to mock up a similar setup and try a staple gun with suitable sized staples.Access only required on one side.Steve..
