Replace Clutch Only Or Clutch Ad Cover

I have the engine out and replacing the clutch as a matter of course.  (Cooper Spi 190mm clutch)

 

Haynes and Rover Manual seem to imply you can change just the clutch plate and re use the original cover.

 

This is not only cheaper in parts but also saves a re balance.

 

Both flywheel and cover seem to be in good order with smooth face no grooves etc.

 

I always though it good practice to change clutch and cover but I guess this only applies if cover is badly worn or damaged so am minded to just replace the clutch and release bearing in this case  ?

 

Thoughts ??
