Any update on this? it looks a fantastic shine on the bonnet pic :mrcool: and like you said more coats will only give more paint depth to work with when flatting and polishing, I'm looking to use the exact same brand paint when I finish the panel work 1st.

I was originally thinking of spraying due to I'm told its less work to get flat (as long as you don't get runs!) but a roller would be far less mess and I don't mind the extra work.

 

hope you are still at it and haven't given up on the project as it was looking great!

Done two coats so far on the full thing, it's quite tedious using a roller as runs and drips happen quite a lot,

A brush saves the drips and runs, and puts it on thicker than a paint pad. If done right, should flow to a smooth finish - just dont over-work it with the brush. Need to know how to load a brush properly, and hold it. Use the right size too. That's not hard, it's precise. Paint at room temperature - about 20C, not much above or below.

Leave to harden a couple of months before cutting, and then longer before polishing.

Wax gives it the shine you want.
