Hi All I would like to restore my mini cooper mk1 driver seat, as you can see the ribbed effect on the base squab is flattened out. If I feel inside the seat, below the cover, I can feel the backing fabric on the underside that forms the sandwich holding the foam into the rib sections has split along the stitching seams and the foam has become misplaced.

My question is can these be restored to (near) original condition and can anyone recommend a trimmer who might do it? (I am in the West Midlands) I don't want new Newton Commercial seat covers as good as they are, as I like age the age related look in keeping with the cars from1966 age.

Many thanks for any advise/recommendations.

I can't help with a recommendation for a trimmer I'm afraid, but I certainly think it's restorable

You could try Aldridge Trimming in Wolverhampton.
