I'm doing a brake and hub replacement. I'd like to know whether I can re-use my drive flanges. I've attached a picture. What should I be looking at in terms of wear issues?

I'd say that one will clean up OK.

There's a few areas you should check on these;-

The face that butts up against the Wheel Bearing wear,

Where the seal runs isn't scored or worn or rusty,

     The splining is good,

The holes for the wheels studs are still tight on the stud,

The tapered hole for the split washer isn't worn

as above, from the pic that looks ok, i cant see any wear on the face or slines

also check the cv joint for wear, if the cv is out of the hub its worth slipping the drive flange onto the cv to check for play.

in my experience usually these dont give issues unless the nut has been loose so the drive flange can squirm around on the CV spline, if they have been loose and work then ive found the nut often keeps loosening off, in which case its probably a case of new CV and drive flange, and also bearing as the metal from the driveflange and cv will have gone into the bearing.

Thanks. I cleaned up the other one, but it has some wear on what I assume to be the face that sits against the bearing. I've attached a photo below. Is this one knackered? The splines look ok.
