Has anyone used one of the Bosch universal lambda sensors?

I used the one listed as 15730 in the US. It did not work.

The code on the sensor is 0258986507.

I cannot get the Bosch UK site to work for me to identify the correct version.

Anyone have a Bosch part number?

https://www.boschaft...97#scrolldetail

The website asks one to add a vehicle, but I see no way to do that in either Chrome or Firefox.

Terry

This is what I got back from Bosch USA:

There are no direct cross numbers to a universal for the number you gave, the type of sensor that you gave me is an LSH-6, I did find one in that type that is universal and an LSH-6 type and is in stock.  The part number is 0258986503.

The marketing number is 15736, the tip might look different but should work the same. If this is for a vehicle application call us at the number below and we can see it there are any universals for the application.

Best regards,

Bosch AA

Being the US, I was looking for an easily available solution. The US suppliers sell the MHK10004 replacement at a premium. Often time they say they are Bosch, but are unmarked.

I was unaware that there are several early types of narrow band.

I will order a spare in the future as Somerford has them for £39.99 Ex VAT.

I may try the 15736 at some point, not sure what the marketing number is for the UK.

I did not mention that tis engine is an MPi, but the lambda sensor is the same., SPi or MPi.

I had a used one that I had run with a SC controlled engine for a few hundred miles before switching to a wide band in that car. It seems to be working.

As there in no easy way to test outside of the engine, it can be expensive to buy and try...
