Thanks imac, that was my thinking too. Every listing I found said "racing or trackday".

On an old thread i did get lambasted for considering these for a road car, likely to take big chunks out of pedestrians, should you clip one. Pity someone has come up with an alternative soft edged bracket to carry the Raydot racing mirrors.

Should tell people where to stick it. Its your car, your choice. So long as it passes the mot with it. If youre going fast enough to cause harm, Id suggest the whole car is the hazard to pedestrians and therefore we should all lock our cars away and walk.

Did you mean "hasn't come up with an alternative soft edged bracket to carry the Raydot racing mirrors."?
This works, on mine.

I had that in mind too in order to get the mirrors up where I need them but the trouble is it would mean two redundant holes in each door and I don`t want to screw up the custom paintwork.

Seriously? Over here in the colonies, you can put foot-long steel spikes on you car and never even think twice about whether you can get away with it. (Not saying you should, but you could) MOT? Most states here don't even have annual safety inspections.
