Radius Arm Pin Too Small

I’ve just replaced my radius swivel pin and when tightening both nuts up, it locks up completely, so it’s basically tightening against the radius housing. I rang mini sport and they have said yeah it’s becoming more common that the pin is too small.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they done to solve this issue.
Cheers

Maybe buy from a better supplier?
but it would be interesting if you could accurately measure the length of the fat part of the pin and also the width of the arm.
it will give us an idea of how far out it is.

Just a thought you haven’t fitted both of the inner thrust washers on the same arm?

Suffered the same recently. Scraping the powder coat off the faces that mated to the thrust washers sorted it immediately.

Mine were also Minispares.

Bearing or machined surfaces should never be painted or coated.

I don't rate the supplier, but there were at one time non-genuine shims available to effectively make the pin longer shoulder to shoulder. These were offered with short pins so that arms that have worn thrust faces could still be used OK.

Any idea where to get shims or do they not exist ?
I had a bit of a look around today, those I saw previously, don't seem to be available anymore.
You can always try an Engineers Suppliers. 1/2" ID x 7/8" OD. If you are able to measure the step between the Thrust Face on the Arm and the shoulder on the Pin, add 0.005 to 0.010" to that and that'll be the total thickness you're after in loose shims.
