I've been trying to wrestle the glass into the frame with a rubber type seal and got fed up with it so been searching for an alternative seal that takes the pain of it away. Having failed with rubber closed cell foam I found this https://www.ebay.co....n-/252801932391
2mm thick would of been easier but couldn't find any. So cut a strip 80mm wide folded in half sellotaped to one side of the glass looped round the edge and taped to the other side. With gentle pressure the glass slips into the frame tighten the screw gently run a scalpel round the frame remove excess and job done thirty minutes from off the car to re-fitting. The glass feels nice and tight in the frame.

I've heard a bike inner tube is good for this.

Sikaflex 221 black, mask off most of the glass and frame as its sticky stuff and trim around the edge the next day with a stanley blade and job done with no bent frame work. I`ve done dozens like this.
