I got the paint at the bottom of the A panel too hot when welding underneath so had to grind that back, refiller and paint. Pretty good match but Im sure Itll stand out when in the sun, but again it will tidy it over, If rather have mismatched paint than rust.

Whilst I was at it it seamed rude to leave the valance seam in place, after all I wasnt running a rear bumper and really like the valance when smoothed out.
Thought Id make a start on the mk1 lights Ive had sitting around too. First of many filling, primerring and sanding later. Got away with very minimal filler so very pleased.
Fitted the rear lamps and fog. Need to do some wiring. And put the mudguards back on.
This was done with 1 colour rattle can and 1 lacquer rattle can followed by some meguiars on a polisher.
Im really very pleased with it. More so considering it was done with rattle cans. Im confident now I could paint the entire car for less than £200.
