Went for a drive a couple of days ago to find a soft and low pedal, long story short Ive ordered new slave and master cylinder as well as a 1 piece braided hose.

Getting the clutch pedal clevis pin out was easy.

Decided to remove the brake master cyl to clean up and paint the cross member/bulk head. That pin was very tricky but eventually managed it by removing the heater and getting a long extension bar on it and hitting it with a hammer.

Wire brushed the bulkhead/cross member and its in surprisingly very solid condition with only superficial corrosion.

Applied some rust converter and will see about getting some paint on it over the next few days.

The engine steady bracket has been poorly repaired so will address that too.

Fitted the bits and added in a speed bleeder but really struggled getting fluid through so removed the slave and rested it on the rocker cover, it then bled up easily. Refitted then bled again until no more bubbles.

Adjusted the throw out to 6.5mm - again thanks to those that helped.

Pedal feels nicer now but havent driven it yet. Before the clutch bite was more switch like but now hoping itll be nice and progressive.

Note the bulkhead lower engine steady bracket is not my welding.

When I take the engine out Il address that properly.

Will also add I need to refit the heater and drivers seat having removed them to get good enough access to the pedal clevis pins.

Been a while since an update.

Due to a new baby and maternity leave Ive not had spare cash to pamper the 4 wheeled baby.

I have acquired some genuine Minilites but havent the funds for tyres yet.

Now the missus is back at work I hope they will be fitted soon.

Airbox fitted, sounds better than pancake filter and some trumpet bling to go with it.

Ebay. I trimmed the airbox a bit as a few mm difference between that and the trumpet. Then glued it on.

Ive removed the cone filter and fitted the standard airbox and filter, with a few holes drilled in, any tips how many turns I adjust the carb jet. Was thinking a couple of flat face turns?
