Hi all,

After years of 'other priorities', I finally started again on the rebuild of my Mini. First on the list, is rebuilding the remote gearbox. I've everything out, except for the main shaft. However I tilt it, the main shaft sits too far (2mm) to the transfer gear side to be able to pull it out. I've watched some videos and there it doesn't seem to take any effort. Still, I can't find any more room. What am I doing wrong?

Errr, I indeed did not read the manual. I did however already remove the double roller bearing, of that is what you mean.

Anyway, I wiggeled it some more, turned some gears and baulk rings and it came out.

Lets just say I need to get used to it again after all those years :S

Thanks!
