Hi just thought I would introduce myself. I am Jamie and bought my first mini at the start of lockdown 2020. It’s a 1982 Austin mini with a 1275 engine. I had it mot’d and taxed and drove it for a few weeks before stripping her down for work. (Never really driven a mini far sooo much fun!). I am a panel beater and with permission from the boss I got mini in the workshop and started......and am still going. Great cars but wow can of worms from rust to bad repairs to panels not lining up. I am enjoying working on an old car but damn they’re a pain, and I work on cars everyday and have done for 18years.
Well there’s my story hope to get some good info from the forum and maybe some local mini owners to me.

You will find lots of information and help on here and although we don't always agree we never fall out (who remembers DILLIGAF!).

Just come on here when you need any advice or simply want to show us your Mini. It sounds as though you have a good base on which to do your restoration.
