Hi Guys

I retrieved a broken key out of my door, would anyone know what key number it is, just curious that’s all.

Thanks

I've seen members on here track down information on the most obscure of mini parts, but I would hazard a guess that you have beaten them this time!

If you’ve got the other part the key number is on it.

It would be if the key's the original. The number can also be found on the lock barrel, but you need a key to get them out. Looks like there's enough left there to do the job.

Thanks guys I’ve recently bought my first car back from when I was 17 ish now 50!
Now needs restoration and both the keys were snapped in the locks including the fuel cap..
It is how I remember it though..
I probably just buy a lock set when I get to that bit,I was just curious that’s all

Thanks

It is easier and quicker to change the complete handle kit, rather than changing the barrels.

well it seems as if you could try having a key made from what is left of yours at a lock smith.

I recently had new keys cut for my '88 from an online place:

http://www.keysinthepost.com/

You can order based on an identifier number or via a decent photo of the key profile. Keys arrived from UK to Canada within ten days. Working great.
