I have a +100 thou 1098 with Russell Engineering flat top pistons, RE 266S cam/RE followers, 12g295 head with larger Paul Ivey race valves that Graham Russell cleaned up a bit,, Cooper S valve springs, HIF44, Cooper Freeflow 3 into 1 header and Maniflow twin box.  Sits over a hybrid A/A+ box with close ratio gear set and 3:44 FD.  On its first long run heading to Colorado in 2019 with two 1275s built by long time Mini mechanics, one who races a turbocharged Mini on Ice, my Mini was still pulling up hill in 4th when their 1275s ran out of grunt...their 2.95 FDs did not help!
