Seeing as I'm still not certain on my dashboard/gauges for the Mini I'm building up, I was looking at other cars that ran the A-series engine. One of these is the Innocenti Mini De Tomaso followup. The non-turbo version used the A-series block, so I figured the speedo and tacho should at least work.

Besides the styling, it has a fuel warning light driven by the fuel gauge itself. Does anyone know if these would work with the Mini fuel sender, and has anyone else used these in a normal Mini?

The blue one goes to 180km/h and is from the A series, the yellow one is from the Turbo version that used a Daihatsu if im not mistaken. I imagine these could look ace with a new facia inlay.

In my experience the type of engine has little bearing on the operation of the guages.Steve..

The engine match here would allow for proper gearing and reading of the speedo/tacho, and take the correct cable drive, hence the idea. I agree the rest doesn't relate, but as this was a followup from the Mini, I wonder how much of the internals like sensors would've been carried over. Gauges are JAEGER branded

The oil pressure, engine temperature and manifold vacuum would not be an issue as the most you would need would be some adaptors for OP and Temp.Petrol gauge could be an issue, but you would need to connect it up and see what you get. Mini petrol gauges are never accurate anyway!

Agree with Cooperman, I know that Inno Coopers had Veglia or Jaeger gauges and a fuel sender by either of the two. The fuel sender is different, but I cannot say in what respect, as I only have a Veglia one and not a Smiths to compare with.
