Ive looked at the posibility of the  Fiat Fire head conversion,

The 8V would be relatively simple to do.... Plug the block apart from one Head Stud IIRC and redrill, cant remember what i worked out for the Oil drains... but dont think it was too complicated...  the Heads are belt drive already so you just need ot arrange a belt drive on the bottom end...
Piston wise, I think you can get away without cutouts unless you are using the high lift cam from the punto 75... or something reprofiled, performance wise, they can be made to flow better than the A series head... and have the benifit of being much eeasier to inject with ITB's etc.... and could be good for a screamer motor based on a short stroke as youve got rid of the pushrods etc...

the 16V head, flows pretty damn well in  std format.... but its cams are pretty tame... and its hard to re cam to something else due to the way the head is put together.... its really diffcult to convert to solid followers... as you cant easily shim them.
would be good for a drivable performance motor, or a turbo conversion

One thing I'll add to this thread is that other than the KAD Head, not are a straight swap. There is a fair bit of machine work needed and with some like the BMW Heads, some welding too. The Machine Work needed can mostly be done on a Mill, though there's also some turning work needed too. So, unless you have access to a workshop so equipped, be  prepared to pay a fair bit of coin to have the various parts modified and made. There's a fair chunk of machine time involved,
