I am looking to purchase a mini from a seller online. The car has been restored by a previous owner. The ride height looks higher compared to other standard vehicles of similar age and model. I asked about this and he said the suspension cones had been replaced during the restoration, hence it is higher. My question is how easy and expensive is it to restore the normal ride height? Would anything need replacing, how easy of a fix?

Images attached for clarity. Is this likely just due to new suspension cones or could it be a modified/sports suspension which will need replacement?

As above - although that actually looks like normal, factory spec ride height to me.

New Minis had much more tyre to arch clearance than people think - most of what we consider correct is actually where the suspension has started to age and settle past the intended point.  The rubber cones were always meant to be a service item (can't remember if it was at 5 or 10 years).
