My car is a 1990 998cc City and I recently had to remove the thermostat housing. It’s a straight to the head, non sandwich arrangement. I snapped one of the bolts so ordered three new ones, but having gone to fit it today I realise I’ve bought the longer sandwich type. I can’t find any of the shorter bolts for sale - plenty of stud / nut arrangements though, so I’m wondering if shorter bolts were ever a standard arrangement or has someone fitted them subsequently?

Bolts were not fitted to the engines without the sandwich plates. If yours had some fitted they would have been bought from a hardware store.

get the stainless studs from MiniSpares.
