I'm Larry

My first Mini, a 1991 Rover 1275 SPI that spent years in Missouri displayed in a Museum

"I think if you are real quiet, you can actually hear it rust!"

Has 27000 original miles

Severe cold start issue, otherwise everything else is ok

Completing mechanical "refresh", then off to Body Shop to fix 3 areas of corrosion on body and 3 areas of underbody corrosion

The SPI is getting the best of me

Also have a 1961 1275 Bugeye Sprite in great shape and an early 1974 chrome bumper MGB with less than 10,000 original miles I bought from a Collector and is near flawless

Look forward to learning lots from all of you

Great to be here!

Hello and welcome to TMF!

Bugeye Sprite, is that an American colloquialism for what we call a Frog Eye Sprite?

Frog Eyed Sprite, 948cc of unleashed power. Piece of history, sports car for the masses.

Welcome.
