Hi all, first time posting on here but reall stuck on my 95 mayfair SPI,Had the ecu de immobilized recently and have been told to bypass the starter circuit ,the ecu should now not communicate with the 5AS immobilizer so i havent put the 5AS back in but presumably i have to do something with the wires from the immobilizer and how do i bypass the starter circuit anyway.Realise im asking how to start the car without the immobilizer but im completely stuck now,ive had a auto sparks look at it but its baffling him also,I bought car as anon runner with no key fobs and a new ignition switch which ive fitted,i dont want the immobilizer anyway hence having the ecu worked on but they dont know what to do with the 5as ,any advice will be gretly appreciated,

The 5AS switches the earth for the starter relay, you need to find which wire that is in the ones from the 5AS plug and earth it

Does the engine crank on the key ??

Can you hear the fuel pump prime ??

How familiar and competent with car wiring and specifically Mini wiring are you ??

I recently removed the immobiliser completely from a '93 carb Mini where it has previously been bypassed.

Phil.
