What features would identify a genuine Mk2 1968 "S" shell?

Hydro suspension piping clips and twin tank fixings/pipe clips are what I can recall.

(No engine currently fitted)

Check the dates on the wiper motor. The boot lock and the glass as they are easily identifiable.

Boot board brackets, holes in inner wing for servo mounting, original hole in tunnel for remote gear lever

Along with the above, diagonal slam panel support, vinyl covered upper and lower dash rails and A pillars.
All pretty easy things to fake.
If you haven't already done so it might be worth asking on the mk1 performance forum.

The hard things to fake are the clips for the petrol tank breather pipes and nearly always missing from a recreation.
