Wondering if anyone has built or seen a dolly that fits under the floor that lifts the wheels off the ground so you can spin the mini 90degrees. My son has a mini Sky that needs major work and I can only fit it in my garage behind my Mk2 Cooper and next to the MGB GT! I built a frame before but that was for just a shell. I have tried individual wheel dollies before but they usually have small wheels and are difficult to manoeuvre .

I have also previously moved cars with a pallet and a pump truck. Cars much larger than a mini, so if you have access to one that might be an option.

I think you'd have more control moving an end at a time on a jack. If you've got the 11 foot width you'll need, you should be able to get most (if not all?)t the way round on its wheels.
If you want to shift it easily while you're working on it look for something that won't interfere with where you'll be working and/or allows it to be moved on the car.

If it's on wheels are Go-Go Jacks not an option ?
There's loads of cheap versions around these days.
By the sounds of things, they would be useful long after you're finished on your son's car.

Thanks for all your comments guys, it gives me some ideas. However, believe it or not I've done some tidying in my garage (found some stuff I've forgotten about since the early 70's including a 22G1128 gearbox)! and can now get two mini's end on and access to my inspection pit as well
