Hi all, currently snaging final details for my restored 1997 mpi.the left hand (near side) indicators are not working on the column stalk. They do work when hazard warning button is used, so the wiring is OK! Unplugging the connector from the steering wheel I get 7.25 volts from the power feed (lgn ) to both left hand (gr) and right hand (gw) wires i am thinking a problem with the rotary coupler? Any ideas? Just to confirm right hand indicators work fine as well

Does the rotary coupler have anything to do with the blinkers?Steve..

Sounds more like a switch issue. Or maybe the relay.
should add that the rotary coupler has nothing to do with the indicators.

If the rotary coupler is not it then inmost be the switch.? There is only one relay and its upstream of the stalk

Been looking at the wiring diagram til I am cross eyed. Think I have found thr problem,though not absolutely sure yet.
There is only one relay feeding flasher unit. Working to eliminate connectors and wiring all the way up the line,
I disconnected the 3 pin connector to the indicator stalk. Putting a wire across the live feed to the green and white wire RH indicators work. Doing the same for red and green LH wire nothing, I think this means a duff flasher unit. I would have checked this earlier but its a pain to get to. Behind the dashboard on the inside of the bulkhead.
