Sorry if it sounds stupid to you, should this bar be installed with a certain side toward the front, or it really doesn't matter?

If this is a new steady bar fit just make sure that the bolts or studs which attach the mount plate to the gearbox are the correct length otherwise you could end up stripping the threads on the gearbox/case.

MIniSpares do longer studs. And note it does little to stop rocking but helps keep the engine in place.

I've changed all mine for these ajustable I use 4 in all

Replaced, look at the broken one, awful welding.
