I was planning to put all the new and refurb'd parts on my new rear subframe this Sunday.  I had a vague recollection about pivot pins in radius arms like some recurring nightmare from my pal Fraser's mini back in 1985..... so I thought I'd take the pivot pins out for a check before assembling.

Well, one side was ok with the very slightest of pitting... but the other was like a war zone:

see the pic - i can't work out how it has become the shape that it is and I can't even get it out the radius arm.

Left to soak overnight in plusgas-WD40 cocktail.

So Team Mini Forum the big Q is, do I service or replace?

[clue - I'm heavily leaning towards replace !]

To get that out is probably going to need some heat and a big hammer....that will mean the needle roller bearing and the brass bush will highly likely be scrap... fitting new ones is not an easy process and will need reaming.of the bush after fitting... prob best to look at refurbed arms, or finding someone who can refurb those for you

replace - I've done them in the past and they are not worth the hassle.  Readily available from lots of sources (including above) but if posting remember they are heavy so postage costs are high.
