Just fitted a Bluetooth receiver onto my existing older (early 2000's??) Pioneer headunit in the mini.  It offered BT as an extra optional accessory, but the device, if it can still be found, was well over $200. I found a generic type made for Pioneer headunits connecting via the IPS bus connector (typically used for CD changers). Only cost $20 on Amazon. This plugged straight in to the HU and after tapping in to switched power & ground lines (not one of the USB powered type BT devices), seems to work well, streaming from my phone.

No more swapping out CD's frequently for me.....LUXURY! ;-)

I’ve got an Alexa auto, you need a 3.5mm jack, on your radio, but then the whole thing is voice operated

What's it do without an internet connection, Carl?

Some of the older echoes could still control smart switches. That could have interesting possibilities.

It connects to my phone and uses mobile data.

I know that. Apparently you can still tell her to play music saved on your phone, say if you lost your data connection in a tunnel. Some of the 1st generation devices could also control local smart switches even if your internet connection went down.
