Recently had the engine pulled to fix numerous oil leaks. After reinstalling, I noticed that the car doesn’t accelerate right away. I have to rev it pretty high to get it going. No work was done to the gearbox. Any suggestions on what it may be? Thank you in advance.

I dont know much about the automatics, but have you connected the so called kick down rod correctly to the Carb..(assuming yours is a carb model of course)

MiniMad, I can take a look. I am at a lose right now plus I can’t find my Haynes manual. Thank you for the suggestion.

May be a good idea to ask on the automatic mini forum (mods: hope it's OK to post a link?) -

https://autominiregi....proboards.com/

Hope that helps

Best wishes and good luck

Mike
