I (think) I need a 1/6th BSP female fitting (or convertor to 1/8th) to fit an old speedwell oil pressure gauge but I can’t find anything available. The thread I need is very similar to 5/16th UNF, a nut will screw on well.

Does BSP go down to 1/16 ?   I know NPT does, but I * think * BSP starts at 1/8.

I think I saw one 1/16th fitting for sale but it was in the US. What size could it be? Its smaller than 1/8th, and a 5/16th nut fits, but 5/16 gauge fittings don't appear to exist

1/16" NPS has a diameter very close to 5/16" but has 27 threads to the inch.

If you can measure the diameter (to +/- 0.002") and measure the thread pitch, we might be able to nail it down

Are you sure its 1/16th bsp, normally it would be an 1/8th, the 2 major dimensions are below

1/16th BSP .304" or 7.70mm
1/8th BSP .383" or 9.70mm

I'm not sure but I very much doubt they made their own gauges, a great company back in the day but I just can't see them tooling up for such a minor part and making the connection different from the vast majority of gauges available at the time

It's definitely not 1/8th, I have many gauges that are!

The diameter measures at 7.76mm from the top of the threads

I don't know how to measure the pitch ..

Could well be! Not sure if I understand that though, the thread I have is 1/16th BSP and I want it 1/8th male or female doesn't matter as I can get a converter

As far as I can understand, it takes a 1/8 male fitting and converts it to 1/16 male. They have other fittings on their site so might be worth contacting the company.
