Are you using Google Chrome? If I remember correctly, it only runs on Chrome. I haven't had a chance to use my Cable yet, so I know no more about it.

I have used the software for my MPI mini and it worked OK in the web browser. I had a problem to start with as the drivers for the USB cable would not load, but once I got that sorted it worked. When you connected the USB cable to your computer, did it load the driver? If not, then you need to get that installed first. If you look in devices, do you see a COM port for the USB ?
The problem I have is that the only Windows machine that I have is an old Notebook running Windows 7 Home, so it is very slow. The way that it works for me is that it initially opens a command prompt window, and then, if I wait long enough, that opens the web browser. You then have to select the type of MEMS that your car has, and after a while the info starts in the web browser. I am assuming that it is slow because of my old hardware, but maybe you have to wait to let it get going.
Once you get it to work, your next problem will be to understand what it means. I have another thread asking for help with the info that I got out of the program, as I don’t know if I have problems or not.

This is what I got: FTDI USB to TTL Serial Converter Adapter FT232RL Module 5V and 3.3V Arduino ARM | eBay
Watch out as the software barfs if everything is not connected up and the car has not got the ignition on!
