Hello, just a quick post to introduce myself to the forum. I'm Will, and I'm the owner of Edna, a 1964 Riley Elf Mk2. Edna joined the family back in November, having been spotted at ACA in Kings Lynn. My fiancee and I have been looking for a classic to drive and enjoy - we're both involved in the road rallying/autosolo scene, but wanted something that we could contest historic events in too. I can't afford a Mk1 Cooper S so this is the next closest thing...

Welcome from a fellow Elf owner. Good luck with the resto adventure, be careful not to let it run away the way mine did, a quick rub down and re=paint has turned into 8 years of full rebuild, currently at the stage below, engine in, running gear complete, still a long way to go.

Thanks for the welcome, I was fortunate in that she's rot free so no major resto needed. The paint's been previously restored (definitely not professionally!) but I wasn't after a show pony, we wanted a usable classic that could be upgraded and used for classic competition. I've sourced a remote change box to replace the current magic wand - aside from the obvious installation mods, will a 9WR 998 bolt up to the 4-synchro rod box?
