Hello all,
1973 AUTHI Mini 850 L currently with a 998 A+ +0.20 flat pistons, stage 2, rebuilt 2 years ago with an alloy rad and EVO type water pump without bypass. 50% Bluecol coolant. Thermostat is the 82º type.
Normally temp needle is just before the middle when it is running hot, as is was today under 17º C outside. I've checked the cylinder head temp with the infrared gun, reading 84º around the temp sensor (under the thermostat), BUT 102ºC at the second bolt from left to right (between the first two sparkplugs). This is the point from which I get the hottest reading.
My question is: Is it normal to get such a different temp reading along the cylinder head? And is 102º too hot? I don't know exactly from which points to measure temp readings.
Thanks in advance
