Hi,

I am doing some winter Mods on my Ford Zetec engined Westfield kit car .... whilst the exhaust manifold is off I have taken a look at the valves. How do they look? I was worried they looked narrowed? I did not build the modified engine so I don’t know how they were new. Thoughts welcome please.

You can buy waisted stem valves for A series engines so I’m sure to aid flow they will be available for other makes.

they look normal, and the colour is good on the deposits too. 

 

you want to see the duratec ones, the stem is tiny...

All looks pretty much ok to me, i have a spare head down the workshop for a zetec 2.0 , ill double check later and report back
