Hi guys, so I've put my back together and running through checks to get it started up. It's booked at regency autos on the 12th of April to be properly sorted but I want to take them a running car.
Currently I have sparks and fuel going to the carb but the engine just turns over with no effort of starting. I'm questioning if fuel is being sucked through the charger or in to the engine. Should you expect it to visibly damp in the charger?
Any suggestions from you guys in the know are much appreciated
Thanks
Malc

Timing?

Can't imagine it sucking fuel, but not feeding through, eventually. Pull the spark plugs, look if they're damp, is there a whiff of juice from the bores?

The last sure sign of fuel is at the top of the intake which gets damp to the touch but to he mouth of the charger and plugs appear dry, il go and have a sniff and see if that shows.

Keep cranking then would be my advice. Will take a long time to get fuel all the way to the plugs through the blower

Has the manifold got a servo take off, or similar, that you could use to slop in a little petrol?

No I did out a little in the charger intake and it did cough but I didn't want to go crazy in case I caused more harm than good.

I would have a steady supply of correctly gapped spark plugs to swap over too.
