So I have about 10 thou cam endfloat I've got new triangle plate to fit. I understand about reducing the sprocket thickness to correct the float but the trouble I'm having is torquing up the sprocket without the chain connected, as from what I've read in the forum the sprocket should be torqued to check endfloat. I've tried wedging the teeth but worried something will break! Engine in car . Any tips that could help?

Stick something (a socket set extension or stout screwdriver etc) through one of the holes in it and into the hole in the block that's behind it.

Didn't think of that! Cheers!

If the Cam has been ground correctly, as long as you have a minimum 3 - 4 though end float, after that, it doesn't matter.
