Morning guys , I'm renewing the brake master cylinder on my 1990 city e. This is because I had brake fluid leaking into the servo. If it still leaks I will replace the servo too. I was just curious if anyone has any tips that will make the job any easier when it comes to rebleeding the system? Or fitting the new cylinder. I was tempted to fit the braided hoses for easier manoeuvrability of the servo in the future, but I'm not overly convinced I will get a good seal on the banjo fittings especially when the master cylinder is designed for a tapered union. Thanks in advance, Babs

Pre-bleed the new master cylinder before you fit it to get any air out. Put some fluid into the reservoir and pump the plunger a few times until the fluid squirts out (into a rag) and put the blanking plugs back in until you're ready to re-connect the brake pipes.

A bit messy but it helps bleeding the system one it's fitted.
