Particularly problematic on the radiator side, there's hardly any room to get ducting through.
I've bought a pair of eyeball vents and the bulkhead adaptors.I now need some flexi pipe to go under the wings and a means of getting through the inner wings that doesn't look like a hack job

The ducting doesn't pass through the inner wing on the radiator side.

Has anyone fitted fresh air vents in a mini with a 1 piece front panel ?

You need one of these:

You may have to cut a hole in a one piece panel, but it fits into the lower corner of the grille and the pipe runs up and over the wheel to the bulkhead connector.

OK, so how does air get to the eyeball or is that a secret ?

I think I'm going to make my own,I don't want to cut the front panel open.I'm sure I can knock something up.The radiator side looks problematic though

The drivers side goes through the inner wind via a big duct in the engine bay and then put to the eyeball vent (and also down to the heater). as said above the passengers doesn't go through the inner wing but the small duct in the corner of the grille, I ended up machining a few bits that you can just about see in the photo below in the corner of the front valance. I used some pipe from the eyeball, along the top of the wing, down around the headlight and into my duct. the duct it bolted to a bracket and has one bolt going to a hole in the front panel to inner wing 'ear' thing that attaches the 2 together.
