A few months ago, someone mentioned they were adapting idle air control to an SC setup.
Just wondering if any progress has been made.

Hi Terry,
I seem to remember that someone was adapting the MPI IAC for the SC set up.
The challenges I see would by modifying the throttle body or inlet manifold with a port to accept inflowing air.
There is an airflow adjustment on the top of their TB which could be utilised.
I used an SU sandwich plate with a vacuum port in it for other purposes so perhaps this could serve as a port.
The SX Tune software has the necessary functionality for IAC and stepper motor control but it's an entirely different matter whether the Delta 400 ECU has the matching capability to run these functions.
SX Tune has lots of stuff that the Delta 400 can't handle.

I’ve done 4 years without an iacv, literally once off cold start enrichment it’s fine, nothing different to using choke imo.SC really need to address this as an IACV is absolutely needed for a daily driver using their system.
Mine has one fitted after Chris at EFI-Parts pretty much insisted on it and there was a world of difference. I also binned their ECU and used an Adaptronics ECU and a custom loom made by Chris.

I too have been running with out an IACV for a few years. I am not sure that the system would not run better with one. It seems that an IACV might contribute to better overall running. Our cars are daily drivers, so they need to run well in a variety of conditions.
One issue I have had is getting the engine to temperature with around town driving. I have switched to a 205/96 thermostat which has helped as the engine maintains temparature. I am using an MPi block, so colling may vary. Using the 190/88 thermostat, themp would barely get above 176/80. I could modify the cold enrichment map, but modern fuels seem to burn better at higher temps.
Actually the first SC setup I bought used and the TB had been modified to take an IACV perhaps. I got no information or additional parts with it, just a plug for the hole.
The throttle quadrant on the TB was bent and when I inquired with SC about gettings parts, I was told they no longer supported that version. So I never attempted to use it. I did eventually straighten the bent parts, but I have never used it.
It seems like it is time to get the MicroSquirt system out and create a loom for the SC TB components.

It seems to me a better location would be the servo port on many of the later maniolds. In the US DIY Autotune sells an IACV adapter kit that could be adapted.
I always assumed the IACV functions were in the D400, but just not enabled in the configurations provided for the A series.
