I’ve noticed on my mk1 that the sills at the rear have a hole at the rear part of the sill, I thought it was a rust hole till I cleaned it up, what is it for, thanks

Nope. Often never refitted. And removed from production at some early time.

A UK Mk 1 should have the shrouds, they were deleted in 1968.
