Hi all,

Looking to change my late type front indicators to the early style domed/glass ones. I have the 1B9100 lamps but the bulb holder seems to want 3 wires (bullet connectors) vs my current setup that has 2 wires (black and green).

I’ve looked about but not sure if there’s a need for a 3rd earth? Can anyone help me out?

Thanks
Jordan

The 1b9100 lamp holders are for a twin filament bulb (side light and indicator).

1 wire to earth, 1 wire to sidelight, 1 wire to indicator. If you are just going to use these as just indicators theneave the sidelight wire taped up. As these holders are designed to twin filament bulbs, check that your chosen bulb will fir.

Thank you Lordcakes! That helps a lot. There are no wires attached to the lamp now, but there are two connections at the top and one further down. Do you know which one would have been for the sidelight? I am guessing it’s the lower one..

Sorry, don't know. The two together are most likely the live feeds as the twin filament bulbs have the 2 contacts on the end and earth through the body of the bulb.
