He must carry his cahoonas in a separate vehicle - they must be quite large!

When I first saw the interior camera angle I thought someone had sped it up. Once I saw it from the outside... Jesus, that's rapid.

Yep hill climbing is a totally different world to many other forms of racing. No run off and no sliding around corners.

TBF I would expect that car to be lighter than that.

I would have thought 400kg would be fairly light, that's over 100kg lighter than the 1st minis, even the single seaters only come in at around 350kg but they ,no doubt like all classes except the road going ones there is a weight limit. At the moment Paul Wiginton is trying to build an extremely lightweight all metal mini, it will be interesting to see what he ends up with.

Its a Maguire spaceframe, so basically a single seater with a very light flimsy silhouette to look like a mini.

I'm aware what a maguire is, I have a spaceframe car myself, my point was that 400kg for a full bodied CEC is pretty good going, when you think the power unit probably weighs 150kg, CDS tubing comes in at around 2.2kg a metre for the main structural members of the frame, the weight soon adds up.

Carl Austin’s old Hill climb car (Mini shell) was 450kg. Mine was 550kg I would expect that Maguire to be less than 400kg.
